Rotary file bit

Post by MadRussian »

Anybody ever use Rotary files in the router to trim or cut fiberglass?
I have one old and probably not sharp any more and tried it on epoxy with fiberglass. Trial promising it cuts very smooth.

If the shank size is right, I don't see why not. I'd probably recommend using a double cut as well. The single cut makes a smoother finish, but it can pull on the material really aggressively. If the trimming is light then maybe a single cut is the way to go.
