ill post the width as soon as he replies to my email.MontuckyMadman wrote:Sorry man but that thing aint worth shit.
How wide is it?
Lucky to get 300.
just out of pure curiosity why is it worth so little it seems like an ok machine. the stone still seems to have life in it.
but I also know very little of these machines.
Problem with this older stuff is it's generally not wide enough. Maybe you can retrofit it to put a wider stone on there.
When they built those things nobody would have ever guessed skis would be wider than 120mm or so.

Stone grinders flatten your base and impart a structure.
If the stone is narrower than your ski it is possible to grind it in 2 or 3 passes but you need a lot of practice and may screw up a nice new pair of skis.
If your ski is under 150mm then a 150mm stone will work.
