Here are some pics of few boards that I have made

The top sheet is sapele veneer. The core is a sapele stringer intermixed with ash and spruce. Ash sidewalls. 1mm at the tips going to 6.5mm at the centre. The wood extends right to the tips - no tip spacer. 20oz biax and carbon strips in the nose (3). The board is finished with an amazing varnish called tonkinois made in Holland -it is natural, hard, UV resistant and has a brilliant finish. The only downside is the drying time - 24 hrs between coats.

Next photo is the same layout but with a graphic sheet and thence a topsheet. Feels heavier than the other but I haven't weighed them. You can see the carbon strips in the nose - I should have put them under the second layer of glass - hey ho!

Final picture is of the first board I made for my son (hence the stickers) - maple, ash and spruce core. 1mm - 7mm - 1mm. Cap construction and lots of errors - goes pretty well though - I made a larger version for myself and we had a lot of fun together on them.

I live in the flattest part of the UK and it rarely snows! I like all things that slide and make skateboards and bows. I surf (Indo next year - happy days) and fish and also have to work!

I'll post more as I go along

Those look great! Quite the powder quiver though for someone living in the UK ;)
