Hi,
I wondering how manufacturers like Atomic and Völkl, two of Europes major brands, are able to press their skis.
They have round and rectangular shapes on their top side.
Are they using molds and prepregs or are they wet laminating but how do they get the excess resins out in that case. I think it will stay between the shapes when using wet lamination.

They use wet lamination. Generally there shouldn't be much exess resin when applying the resin correctly to the fiberglass. If you press out more then a few gramms per Ski you're applying way to much. You can find out the correct amount if you take the weight of the fiberglass you want to use and take about the same amount of resin to soak the fibers (45-50% of resin in the final laminate).
