Very nice board! Looking forward to hearing how it rides.

An okay. I didn't think about the peelply because I used "Lochfolie" in my last veneer longboard.

I use both.
Peelply, then Lochfoile.

Not sure if that is overkill.

Nice work! And 7.5mm camber is still a lot for a snowboard anyway. I see you missed one insert...happens to me too every so often haha.

Yes. Pissed me off. It was 2 actually. But the second one I started with a small bit so was only a small hole.
Luckily all is under the binding.

My sons and I have built loads of longboards together.. so we are used to pulling the stuff out of the bag.. But He is stoked, as last season he was on a board that was way too small for him.. Actually too narrow as it was a girls board, so he couldn't carve as his boots would hit the snow. This one is very stiff, so will be good for carving I think.

Neither had I, so I was worried if it would work or not. But somehow I had this idea in my head.. and had to try it.
I used veneer and epoxy to make a cell phone case, and it looked so cool how it wrapped around the edges, so I wanted to try it on the board / skis.

That cellphone case might be a nice gift for x-mas. Do you have pictures of it?

Nope. But I can take a photo for you..
But it is not perfect enough for me.
The corners aren't perfect, and the top side isn't as good as I would like.

I have been using this for a few months.


I took a cheap silicone case and used epoxy glass and veneer and laminated it in the vacuum press.

Here you see the top side and corners that they are not as perfect as I like...
Probably if I worked at it, I could get a better finish.

This is for the nexus 5.

OK. Now I get it. My first thought was: "He didn't really wax his cellphone and laminate right over the back of it. Are there any parts in the phone that will get destroyed in a vacuum." Then I tried to find a way to get a negative of my cellphone.

Actually I made a wood model of my phone... same dimensions which I put in the silicone case before vacuuming it.. You need something rigid to help it hold its shape.
The hardest part was getting the epoxy form off after it was dried. I had to cut as much material off as possible, then do the side cutouts so I could bend it open and get the wood form out.
When I was cutting off the excess epoxy, I damaged the silikon case a bit.

Oh cool, I just found that there is a company only 3 km away from where I live in a small village who have this machine.


Will go and visit them tomorrow.
