Yup, used it in a ski for the boy couple years ago. Can't say it really added anything other than it looks cool.
No way to quantify any structural advantages, it was a one off.
Did look cool though!\
Foamez was the cheapest I could find it at the time, still have enough left for another pair.

Layed up easy, didn't add any real weight, or noticeable stiffness either for that matter.
Not sure it's the same stuff as your link but looks similar.
