hey gang-
its been a minute-- well actually prob about 4 years, which by no coincidence is about age of our oldest child. Our little project went into a bit of a deep freeze a few years back, but we've made a few bits of progress here and there-- as in 2 snowboards slowly churning over 3 years. Hopefully the investment pans out in 10 years when he's old enough to reach the press and help me load it. We did manage to start an LLC up and instagram page, although we haven't done much with it! (@fnkfab). There's so much to catch up on-- what's up with the build world these days? Looking forward to downloading some info from you all. Feel free to drop me a link to some meaningful threads. I figured I'd start this back up by sharing a couple photos of decks currently in the works:

The first is a concept board "weirdo." Its a 155cm, asym twin. The idea is to just have a fun parkish board for the east coast on average days.
  • 8m sidecut on the long side
  • 7.7m sidecut on the other
  • Medium stiff
  • ~4mm of camber
  • Zebrawood/rosewood veneer topsheet
  • poured sidewalls
  • poplar core full length
  • 19oz biax/triax top/bottom
  • 6mm under foot, 5.5mm in between, tapered to 2mm at the ends
  • i forget what other info people want to know-- so just ask!
This is currently sitting on our workbench. I finished it earlier this year-- quite literally-- the week all the mountains closed down for covid. It's still sitting on the bench in this spot.

Nice job!

How did you paint the base, if I might ask...?
