Should I cut out the wood and glue

Post by khaldrogo »

Hello friends!
So I'm back to ship (get it) the splitty project.
I seem to have completed some hole measurements where the pucks will attach. Should I cut out the wood and glue in new things or fill the holes with epoxy. And Re drill?
Thank you !!!

Kinda hard to understand what happened from your post, but I assume you drilled your insert holes in the wrong spot.

If you drilled the holes in a raw core (i.e. not already pressed into a board), then I would recommend plugging the holes with wood dowels glued in with regular wood glue (preferrably the water resistant type).

If it happened on a finished board, I would recommend filling the holes with either epoxy or epoxy filled with microballoons.
