Line ski delamination

Post by teneightyskier »

I lent my cousin my old Line 1260's since he crossed over from snowboarding to skiing and the tip on one of the skis I managed to crash into the front of a box a couple of years ago delaminated a good 6 inches. I took some ictures before fixing it and noticed something interesting about the core. In the tip there was a finger joint that extended the core in to the tip. I'm wondering if line uses a long piece of wood in their cores and cuts them to length and when the the cores are too short they splice on another piece. It's too hard to see in the picture cause i had to hold the top sheet back and take the pic.

Alittle epoxy and about 6 clamps and they are as good as new.
