Opinions of a specific vacuum pump

Post by shralpster »

It looks like I can get a vacuum pump new from someone locally for $75 or maybe a few bucks less. It sounds like a good deal, but I don't know anything about vac pumps so I want to make sure it will work for our needs. Here's the link and details about the equivalent or same pump elsewhere (as far as I can tell)...

Listing:

Similar pump sold elsewhere ($400 seems ridiculous!):

It looks like it might be their high end pump:

The same or similar pump went for $150 shipped on eBay recently.

Anyway, any input from someone with knowledge is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Troy

this pump will work great, similar to mine but this is a 2 stage pump mine is a 1 stage.
I'm not sure but I think the difference is that with the 2 stage u wount get any oil out from the air outlet. thats what my local "cool and heat"-tech told me.

Awesome, thanks. I can't expect to get much info when buying it... I have no idea who is selling it and why, but it looks like this will get me started!
