For my new reverse sidecut skis i need to adapt the ski brakes of my rossignol axium binding to 130mm mid section (they are only 90mm wide). Has anybody done this before or a creative idea how to solve the problem?
Thanks for your ideas!
Alex

Here they suggest some tircks: http://www.skiforum.it/skiforum/viewtopic.php?t=3546
Usually they keep the breaks with a vice, then they push the steel rods further apart with an hammer or a clamp. Somebody heats up the rod first, to make them softer.
I heard somebody just cut them and soldered an horizontal rod to fit the width of the ski.
You can also cut two slits in the skis...

It is definately possible. I've done it with my salomon bindings. All you need is a vise a screwdriver and a lever.
