your a prick, to alot of people.facebook sucks.
facebook is good. its a free social networking page very much like
skibuilders.com
along with it being a free hd video and photo hosting page, it has alot of users. its much easier to find people with common interests as yours on facebook.
and its useful for communication purposes as well. i.e a college student doesn't have to call a long distance number to home with facebook. instead he can just "chats" with his mother.

Ha, I don't have Facebook either, sorry OAC
I just don't see the need for it yet. My wife and kids have it. Email and IM is enough for me. I'm on computers all day. I suppose if I had a band or a business it would be helpful. There's Linkedin which I have which is more for establishing and maintaning professional/business contacts.

Does this happen only with links in skibuilders.com or all links? Do you use IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari,....?webboy wrote:What sucks is that I can't see the goddamn pics. I have a freakin' FB account- no links work for me, period. I'm even cutting and pasting them, since most of them are malformed anyway.
Thanks Montucky. Those are some nice looking boards, after all.
In general I don't have issues. I use Firefox, but anyway, I work with computers, so I would usually figure out if I had an issue with my own setup. I'm wondering if it's got anything to do with me being in Sweden. That would be strange, but it's possible.skidesmond wrote:Does this happen only with links in skibuilders.com or all links? Thanks again for the advice, but I'm actually a network engineer, so I can tell you with confidence that that isn't happening. The messages I have been getting are showing up after I reach Facebook. Here's a screen:skidesmond wrote:It's possible you're ISP could be blocking certain hosting websites. You could play dumb and call them, ask why you can't get to certain websites.
I personally think there are better/easier ways to share images, but to each his own. Other than being frustrated that I couldn't see his stuff, I thought he ought to know that FB was screwing him over, and perhaps others in here will avoid doing that as well. You can use photobucket with your existing FB account, so it's not even a pain to sign up.
